Tradie Doug’s got a job to do… but nothing’s going to plan.
Another day with his trusty wheelbarrow, a pile of bricks, and a whole lot of crazy ideas, Doug’s about to hit rock bottom — and learn how to pick himself up again.

A solo circus-theatre children show packed with physical comedy, juggling, and honest moments about losing it (and laughing about it).

For Festivals & Family Events

Big laughs. Big heart. Backyard mayhem.
From brick juggling to wheelbarrow stunts, Rock Bottom is a high-energy show for all ages. Expect clowning, circus skills, and playful audience interaction — a funny, physical take on the little meltdowns we all know too well.

For Schools & Educators

Starting real conversations about resilience and emotions.
Delivered through circus, comedy, and storytelling, Rock Bottom creates a safe and entertaining space for tamariki to reflect, laugh, and learn together, they can explore questions like:

  • What do we do when things don’t go to plan?

  • How can we manage frustration when we feel overwhelmed?

  • How do we bounce back after mistakes?

Rock Bottom is designed to support tamariki as they explore how to manage themselves in moments of challenge. The show is playful, engaging, and age-appropriate, offering a lighthearted entry point into conversations about resilience and self-regulation.

With a Master of Social Work and extensive experience supporting young people in schools and community settings, you can trust that Nic brings both professional expertise and genuine care to these conversations.

With an optional Q&A, the show encourages students to share ideas, making space for honest kōrero about problem-solving and self-regulation.
